Okay so I got some awesome news girls!!!

Okay so like i said in my last post its been a rollercoaster ride around here but I have been waiting to announce this news for almost two weeks now. Its been difficult but i wanted to wait until I had the final confirmation . So as you knew I applied for a postion and guess what... I got it!!

So as of today i am currently a designer assistant for Digi Scrap Shak. I am joining Lori Briggs and all the wonderful girls over there and I couldn't be more excited about it!!

I know a lot of you have been waiting for those papers that i showed a preview on for the last post but due to my new postion there is only one way to get them... Man these past two weeks have been a rollercoaster!

Its been one thing after another around here lately. From the bad news about our income taxes to my brokenwindshield on my car, I seriously feel like i am at Kennywood riding the Steel Phantom. (its a Pittsburgh thing) And imagine that was only last week....

Friday, a day after our huge storm, I got my new lap top !! Yeah :) Its taking me for ever to figure out Windows Vista and how it works... I have had a few compatibility problems with a few of my programs and it is taking a lot longer to get everything on and organized than I thought it would... So everyone hang in there, the freebies will be coming i promise..

So yesterday I started feeling sick. Cold, stuffy head, Sore throat and the body aches... I thought for sure I would have been feeling better after a good nights rest but unfortunately I'm not. So i called into work today, sounding like Darth Vader, telling them i wouldn't be in. Being sick is not fun. I haven't gotten out of bed all day except to take the dog out.

Speaking of the dog. I took her out this morning and she is getting so finicky that i can't help but laugh at her. God knows she has to be spoiled. I walked down the stairs and opened the door for her to do her business but she took one look at the snow and was like uh huh. I am not squatting in snow. So what did she do.... She stopped right where she was at on the stoop and peed. (god hope thats spelled right) I wanted to yell at her but it was just so funny and quite honestly i don't blame her... Who wants to pee in the snow! Surely not I.

So in absences of my work and me being sick today i am gonna give you a small freebie. It's nothing too big just a red embroidered alaphabet.. Thought it might be cute for a Valentines Page. Why its showing on a black background i have no idea. I saved it as a png? Probably one more thing to figure out on windows vista. Special Thanks to Atomic Cupcake.... You guys rock!

Snow Snow and more Snow.... Atleast we get a snow day.

Can i tell you how much i love snow!!...... Being sarcastic. Boy i can't wait until june when we move down south and i am done with this crap.

So yesterday i woke up to two inches of snow. No biggie right. I mean i should be used to that but then when i turn on the news i see they are calling for up to ten inches by within the next day and a half. So then i started to debate, should i go to work and take the chance of not being able to get home? ( i get out at 6) So i suck it up and get to work around 8 am. I punch early because i figured if i can get in early maybe i can get out early and deal with this stuff while its still light out. So at 2pm my boss rallys everyone up and says we are closing the building its getting horrible out. Everyone go home and thats when it began....

What normally take 20 mins turned out to be an hour for a drive home. The roads were horrible and on top of it I had to deal with some idiot driving on my bumper. I love those kind of people that think just because they have four wheel drive they can't wreck... Anyways i let him pass me and i got home safely. The snow had already begun falling quickly and by last night it turned to ice. I didn't realize how bad it was until i went to take the dog out and she took one step out on the side walk and turfed it. So dh and I decided to lay some salt down and laughed at each other falling all over the place. Some pics below. Sorry the best i could do in the dark.

 

So we are now thinking this has to be it right? WRONG. We are told that the morning commute is going to be awful and we can expect atleast another 3 inches tomorrow. So this is now Wensday and we are up to about 9 inches. Of course i called off work (no way i am driving in this two days in a row) and am happily looking at this stuff in the comfort of my own home and not at work.... Can you say SNOW DAY! I remember when I was a kid that was the greatest thing ever now its just a pain in the ass... Sorry for the language but god i hate this stuff... So i took some pics this morning of the trees and my kitchen window.

 

So on a brighter note, now that i have a snow day, I have some time to get everything ready before my laptop arrives on friday. And of course instead of doing what I should be doing I am working on a new freebie... I have a small preview below. Leave me a comment on what you think of it so I know wether to bother posting it. So i am gonna say i am sorry right now....

Alright everyone, I have good news and I have bad news....

The bad news is, I know i posted a few days ago that i was gonna upload the biggest kit yet, well that is gonna be put off for a little bit... I know some of you were really waiting for it but i promise that it will be worth the wait... The good news is the reason why i am putting off a little longer is because I just ordered my brand new laptop! I am so excited that I just control myself.... Since I am switching over to mostly digital my husband decided that it was a good idea to get my own computer (plus i got an awesome deal!) So with that being said, since my new computer will be much faster and I will have access to everything in one spot, the designing is put on hold for a few days longer. I will need to transfer everything over (god i have so much). I feel bad making a promise and breaking it but this is only gonna benefit my designs. I just decided to subscribe to Atomic Cupcake for the month... Wow they have a lot... If you want to check them out go here.

I really need some advice... Please leave me some constructive comments....

It has been close to 10 degrees around here and with the wind chill close to below zero! Can you beleive it? What's worse is that when you get home from work you realize, all the kids don't have to go to school because its so cold.... So the question is, why can't adults have those days too lol? I can only dream......

Okay so i have applied for an amazing position that I am dying to get my hands on with a pretty well known Digi Site... (not going to mention because i dont want to jinx it) I really don't know how close in the running I am, but I need some constructive comments from some of my fellow friends..... What would you like to see with my designs? What would you say I need to work on some more? Etc. ...

Please don't feel like you have to hold anything back... I really want to hear the truth and try to develop it into something better... The more honest the better :)

I am just so joyed that this blog is being accepted into the digital community so quickly! I have been hitting 400 people a day off and on and do you realize this has only been up for a little less than a month? It's absolutley amazing.... Its been on the front page of the rankings since the day I started it! So today i checked my feed blitz and realized that there a huge amount of people that are subscribed to me, and it just made me so happy. So i've come to the decision that due to the fact that everyone has been so great to me, I am going to do something great for you...

I truly want everyone to know, how much I appreciate every visit and every comment! So I just began working on the biggest Kit I have designed yet! It's gonna be so big that it's gonna knock your socks off.....

Valentine's Day has me motivated....

So Valentine's Day is right around the corner and you are seeing things advertising it everywhere. Its gotten me motivated to make some new stuff...
